‘Kids Being Kids’ Volunteers- Got Blue Jeans 2018
Our “Kids Being Kids” program invites kids and their families to enjoy all the skatepark has to offer, including scooters, knee-slides, a foam pit, Sony PlayStation room, arts & crafts and, of course, skateboarding. There will also be a vert ramp demo by some of the park’s amazing volunteers and experienced riders.

‘Kids Being Kids’ – Volunteers Needed

Kids and their families are welcome to come out and lend a helping hand with waiver signing, food and beverage distribution, group stretching and assisting kids with their chosen activities. No equipment or expertise is required, just jeans, sneakers and a genuine smile!A great time is sure to be had by all.

Sick kids, special needs kids, even a transgendered group. We have the richest kids and the poorest kids. And we have no issues. It’s all about just having fun. We’ve had a huge impact. In our autistic program we’ve had kids who were never supposed to speak end up speaking. We are breaking the barriers.

Chill Foundation 2024
Chill was founded in 1995 by Jake and Donna Carpenter, founders of Burton Snowboards. Since it’s inception, Chill has served more than 30,000 young people, working with approximately 3,000 youth annually. Recognizing the inherent strength and potential that exists in each of our participants, we teach new skills, building confidence, and inspire a lifelong love for boardsports.

Skate 4 The Brain
Uncover the inspiring journey of Tyler Stemmler, who turned a catastrophic brain injury into a story of resilience and hope. Discover how skateboarding became his lifeline to recovery and inspired the Skate 4 The Brain fundraiser at CJ’s SKATEPARK, now an annual tradition dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by brain injuries.
