Private Lessons

Duration: 45-minute class per week
For PRIVATE LESSONS email us with your participants name, age and ability, at :info@CJsSKATEPARK.com

COST: $60

This program is completely flexible and you may schedule subsequent sessions.

Cancellation Policy (Private & Semi Private Lesson Programs): If you paid prior to your session and you are unable to make it to a session and need to cancel please do so at least 48 hours prior to your booking for a 50% Credit towards your next booking. In the case that you cancel after the 48 hour period we will be unable to issue a refund.

Semi Private Lessons

Duration: 45-minute class per week and an additional 15 minutes of free skate after the lesson.

Our SEMI-PRIVATE LESSON program is perfect for people who want to learn how to skateboard with a friend or another family member.

For semi private lessons please email us at info@CJsSKATEPARK.com with the participants name, age, and skating ability.

COST: $40 per participant

4 for $75 – Introductory Skateboard Lesson Program

Duration: 4 classes, 45-minute class per week
Choose Mondays or Wednesdays, from 4:15pm – 5:00pm

COST: $75

Includes all equipment rentals (helmet, safety pads, skateboard)

PLEASE NOTE: we need a minimum of 8 students for this program or it will not take place.

CLASSES WILL START ON TIME NO EXEPTIONS

PREREQUISITE SKILL:

This program is for kids ages 5 –10 who have never been on a skateboard or snowboard before.f it turns out your child has skateboarded or snowboarded before, they will NOT be permitted to take this class and Sorry, no refunds.

OUR INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM will introduce kids to skateboarding, including learning how to fall safely, proper safety gear and procedures, skatepark etiquette, showing the parts of a skateboard,  determining their stance, and basic introduction to tic-tacks.

Duration: 5 classes, 2 hour class per week (45-minute lesson includes optional up to 75-minute free skate after the lesson)

Choose Mondays or Wednesdays, from 5:15pm – 7:00pm

COST: $200 for 5 classes

PLEASE NOTE: we need a minimum of 2 students for this program or it will not take place.

CLASSES WILL START ON TIME NO EXCEPTIONS

PREREQUISITE SKILL:

Successful completion of our ‘Introductory Skateboard Program” or have some experience on a skateboard and demonstrate basic skills (safe falling and basic maneuvering).

OUR BEGINNER PROGRAM includes skateboard components and selection, skateboard orientation, skatepark etiquette, skateboard safety, navigating the skateboard (street, bowl, transitions), pushing on flat ground, coasting, carving, stopping by foot braking, drop-in ramps, tic-tacs, rolling down bank ramps, kickturns & carves on banks, kickturns on transitions, introduction to the ollie, and more! The Beginner Program closes with a progress report including recommendations for further study.

Duration: 5 classes, 1hour & 45minute each per week (45-minute lesson includes optional up to 60-minute free skate after lesson)
Choose Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 7:15pm OR Tuesday’s or Thursdays,  from 6:15 to 8:00pm

COST: $200.00 for 5 classes

Students will also be introduced to competitive skateboarding. The Intermediate Program closes with a progress report including recommendations for further study.

Drop-in Adult Lesson Program (check the calendar for availability )

Duration: drop-in classes, 120-minute class per week (45-minute lesson and 75-minute free skate)

Choose Wednesday’s from 5:00pm to 7:00pm OR Saturday’s at 12:15pm-2:00pm

COST: $35 per class

PREREQUISITE SKILL:
No experience necessary and must be over the age of 25

OUR ADULT LESSON PROGRAM: 

Our adult lesson program is run by our founder Jay Mandarino who is over 61 and does not want any one in this program to get hurt including himself. You will spend a lot of time learning how to fall safely, stretching exercises, Cardio, healthy eating habits and most of all making sure you have FUN.

We will cover  skateboard components and selection, skateboard orientation, skatepark etiquette, skateboard safety, navigating the skateboard (street, bowl, transitions), pushing on flat ground, coasting, carving, stopping by foot braking, drop-in ramps, tic-tacks, rolling down bank/ramps, kick turns & carves on banks, kick turns on transitions, introduction to the ollie, and more!

Advanced Lesson Program

PREREQUISITE SKILL:
Must demonstrate a solid foundation of skateboarding skills (such as ollies, flip tricks, ramps, ledges, rails, etc. and their application on a wide variety of terrain).

OUR ADVANCED PROGRAM explores skateboarding as self-expression, psychological preparation (visualization, stress management, and having fun), physical preparation (developing new tricks and stretching), managing risk, managing expectations, competition skateboarding. Key values promoted include: fun, fairness, excellence, respect, and giving back. The Advanced Program closes with a progress report including recommendations for further study. Instructors usually recommend skaters for placement in this program.
